FASTCOM Technology SA announces the completion of the project with IDEMIA Japan for its new payment card production facility. The facility must meet the PCI-CPP Security Standards implement, which are very well suited for SMACS solutions. Various IDEMIA locations around the world have been equipped with SMACS solutions for many years. Due to the positive experiences, IDEMIA Japan equipped its production facility with a SMACS Flex equipped.

The Challenge

IDEMIA is opening a new payment card production site in Japan. To meet the required security standards, IDEMIA must implement a mantrap. Only authorized individuals should actually have access to the production areas, and the flow of materials must be controlled. IDEMIA also desires the flexibility to adapt control processes to special situations. For example, it must be possible to fully open the mantrap when needed or use the mantrap in a simple tailgating prevention mode.
