The customer

FASTCOM Technology SA announces collaboration with KDDI France, Paris (France). KDDI France offers global, high-performance, and secure IT solutions. Thanks to the data center built in 2021, French „Wholesale“ and „Cloud IaaS“ solutions will be offered. To create a high-security zone for a banking client, the SMACS FlexMat solution will be installed in the data center. SMACS solutions simultaneously secure people and material flow, ensuring optimal security. They also provide high operational flexibility. The project will be carried out in collaboration with the company GENETEC for access control.

The Challenge

KDDI France offers its customers customized, efficient, and secure solutions. For a banking client, a secure zone must be created so that the computer racks within it are only accessible to their employees. All incoming and outgoing personnel and material flows must be secured. This security should not come at the expense of operational flexibility and user-friendliness.

The solution: SMACS-Lift by FASTCOM

FASTCOM's SMACS FlexMat solution meets KDDI's customer requirements. SMACS requires no major construction work and integrates perfectly into the architectural and technical infrastructure. It simultaneously controls and secures the flow of people, including wheelchair users, and the flow of materials (up to the size of a „Euro pallet“). Special modes, including „Emergency Exit Mode“ and „VIP Mode,“ are available.
