The customer
FASTCOM Technology SA announces the completion of the project with ewl Rechenzentrum AG for their new, energy-efficient data center. DATASIGN developed the data center design and had overall project management. For optimal data center security, FASTCOM's SMACS Mat solution has been installed in the material airlock to ensure that only materials pass through the airlock.

The Challenge
ewl Rechenzentrum AG is building a new co-location data center in Lucerne. The data center is intended to be energy-efficient, modular, and very modern. Based on extensive experience with such projects, DATASIGN has designed the data center. An important aspect of the design is the security of personnel and/or material flows. Specifically, there is a material airlock in the data center through which only materials are permitted to pass. The control must be automated, and special passage processes, such as emergency exit mode, should be adaptable. Furthermore, the airlock should be user-friendly and seamlessly integrated with the building's architecture.
The solution: SMACS-Lift by FASTCOM
The SMACS Mat is the solution that fulfills the requirements for secure material flow through the material airlock. The SMACS system seamlessly integrates into the existing infrastructure. Special modes, including an emergency exit mode and specific passage processes, are available.
