The customer
FASTCOM Technology SA announces the completion of a project with Mobiliar for their existing data center. Security had to be enhanced in accordance with FINMA and internal security standards. The metal construction of the sliding doors was carried out in cooperation with GILGEN door systems. For optimal security, the „SMACS FlexMat“ solution was integrated into the airlock, simultaneously securing the flow of people and hand luggage.

The Challenge
Die Mobiliar operates its own data center. To adapt to new internal security standards and FINMA requirements, access security to this data center must be enhanced. The upgrade must be done as a retrofit, integrating harmoniously into the existing infrastructure. The resistance class of the doors and their fire resistance must also be improved. For access control, it must be ensured that users can pass through the security vestibule with materials if necessary. The control must be automated, and special passage processes, such as VIP entries, should be adaptable. Furthermore, the security vestibule should be user-friendly and adaptable to the building's architecture.

The airlock simultaneously secures both personnel and material flows. Special modes, including an emergency exit mode, and specific passage processes are available.
