FASTCOM Technology SA announces the completion of the project for the SWK Stadtwerke Krefeld AG data center in Krefeld, Germany. Within the existing infrastructure, SWK has had the SMACS Flex solution implemented on a two-door security portal with a hand luggage zone in the data center area. The SMACS Flex solution simultaneously secures the flow of people and hand luggage for optimal security.

The Challenge
SWK must ensure a high level of security for access control at their data center. Among other things, it must be ensured that users can only pass through alone, with their respective hand luggage, e.g., tool cases. The control must be automated. Furthermore, the security vestibule should be user-friendly and optimally adapted to the architecture and infrastructure of the building. Adaptations for later changes in use should always be possible.
The solution: SMACS-Lift by FASTCOM
The SMACS Flex solution with the „Integrated Cabin Baggage Control“ option is the solution to meet the required specifications. Integrated into a 1.5-meter long and 1.85-meter wide, comfortable, custom-designed access control gate, SMACS Flex simultaneously secures passenger and cabin baggage flows. Special modes, including an emergency exit mode and specific passage processes, are available. Further modes can be implemented.
