FASTCOM Technology SA announces the completion of the project at Geneva International Airport for the upgrade of the SMACS solutions installed in 2010. SMACS ensures access security between the national and international zones of the airport. These were installed almost 15 years ago and have been functioning without interruption since then. An upgrade was carried out to ensure the sustainability of the systems.

Geneva International Airport must secure access between the national and international zones. To this end, SMACS solutions were installed in 2010. After almost 15 years of continuous and trouble-free operation around the clock, it was necessary to ensure the sustainability of the systems while guaranteeing the continuity of functions. Furthermore, increased energy efficiency and improved data security were sought as part of the upgrade.
The solution
The SMACS solution line has been on the market for over 25 years and is regularly updated by FASTCOM with strict version management. As part of new versions, the fundamental functions of SMACS are retained, but improvements are made to technology, design, and user experience. The strategy pursued allows for easy updating of installed SMACS solutions.
