IDEMIA Japan is setting up a new payment card production facility and needs to implement PCI-CPP security standards. The facility must implement PCI-CPP security standards for which SMACS solutions are very well suited. Various IDEMIA sites around the world have been equipped with SMACS solutions for many years. Due to positive experiences, IDEMIA Japan has equipped its production facility with a SMACS Flex. The Challenge: IDEMIA is opening a new payment card production facility in Japan. To comply with the required security standards, IDEMIA must implement a mantrap. Only authorized personnel must actually access the production areas, and material flow must be controlled. IDEMIA also wants the flexibility to adapt control processes to specific situations. For example, it must be possible to fully open the mantrap when needed or to use the mantrap in a simple person trap mode.
